FAQs

Q) How Goentry protects your privacy?
A) If you are searching for the best search engine that deliver great results but also cares about your privacy, you should consider Goentry. How Goentry protects your privacy as described below
1) Hiding Search terms, IP address and User agent: Goentry prevents search leakage by default. When you click on a link at Goentry Q) How, we route that request in such a way that it doesn't send your information to other sites. The sites will still know that you visited them, but they won't know what search term you entered.
2) No logging or Storing of IP address and User agent: When you access any website, your browser automatically forwards information about your computer (User agent, IP address) to respected site. Because that information could be used to link you to your searches, Goentry doesn't store it at all.
3) No browser Cookies: A cookie is a piece of information that sits on your computer and sent to the search engine on each request. Most of the search engines use cookies to store a unique identifier in your browser and link that identifier with your searches. At Goentry, no cookies are used by default.

Q) Is Goentry search engine better than other search engines?
A) Yes.
Goentry keeps all searcher activity completely private, which is not performed at major search engines like Google, Yahoo or Bing.
Few of the reasons Goentry may beat other search engines
1) Privacy: Goentry doesn't track your search behavior. Other search engines have been accused of exploiting user private information.
2) Immediate access to information: Google isn't always the best at this. For instance, search on the term "Rangers Schedule". At Google you get a giant image that shows who play today. At Goentry you get the result nearly top of the page.
3) Less clutter when searching on generic terms: For example, type "insurance" term into both search engines. At other search engine you will get tons of ads flowing down at the top of the page. At Goentry you have some ads, but not really as much. At the top of the page you get few links from crowd-visited sources like Wikipedia, and just below is a sponsored link.

Q) Why should you try Goentry?
A) Zero click info - useful info above the links
Privacy - we don't track you. Google does
Goodies - Keyboard shortcuts
Less spam and ads - no ads
Official Sites - Labeled on top
Goentry does not track you. Google does. By default Goentry does not collect or share personal information. Google tracks everything that you do.

Advertising: Goentry does make money from serving contextual advertisements (Only relevant ads popup after a search is made based on the search terms). Due to the lack of cookies the ads won't follow users from site to site.
Affiliate Revenue: Goentry is part of the affiliate programs of the e-Commerce websites Amazon and eBay.
